My Product List


Cleaning Agents: A mixture of gentle detergent (Palmolive, Ivory, etc.) and Lemon-scented Simple Green is at the top of my list in kitchen and bath. Both are pH-balanced and safe for stone / delicate surfaces and work together to disinfect, clean, and freshen. Lemon-scented Lysol may be used, as well, on suitable surfaces.

On sensitive stone in the shower, H(2)0 (hydrogen peroxide) is an excellent substitute for the harsher bleach—although not necessarily as “competent” as bleach in the amount of time I may have, depending on your situation. I may alternatively use lemony Lysol on suitable surfaces. For stubborn stains or advanced mildew, I may resort to bleach, if the surface permits.  If you have a favorite product that you feel secure with instead, I will use what you provide.
 
Furniture polish / mirrors: For furniture, I wipe surfaces with a water-dampened soft microfiber cloth...then dry with a flour sack towel. My favorite combo! (I also have an assortment of dusters...right down to my dedicated makeup brush for delicate items or figurines!)

For bathroom mirrors (and general lightweight mirrors throughout that I’m comfortable handling), I use this same technique and habitually wash and dry them rather than spray and wipe.

Kitchen sinks: Simple Green and/or Lysol mixed with gentle detergent is my go-to; however, sometimes a little something extra may be called for. Hydrogen Peroxide is excellent for white porcelain sinks (and gentle on the surface); Soft Scrub (or similar agent) works well for stainless steel. Vinegar or similar product may be used periodically (on suitable surfaces) to help with lime build-up.  To help me scrub effectively, I use a non-scratch sponge or the awesome and just-plain-cute, Scrub Daddy. 

Stainless Steel: Sprayway remains my favorite here—hands-down. 

Cloths: Plush microfiber cloths and flour sack towels are my primary sidekicks. This combination is unbeatable for dusting, wiping, or washing surfaces and drying to lintless perfection. My trademark preference!

*Since it's not 1990 anymore (LOL), I will never use a carpet powder or anything on your carpet or rugs except a vacuum cleaner. (I could regale you with stories about carpet powder, if you so desire.  :-D )  If I notice a pronounced or fresh stain, I will simply bring it to your attention. I will never use any product to remove a stain, as I do not wish to possibly further compromise your carpet/rug.
